Heat-resistant fixation on the carpet backing.
In carpet manufacture the adhesive fixes the tufted yarns into the primary backing and bonds the secondary backing. How long the carpet resists wear depends largely on the strength of that bond.
The adhesive has to raise tuft bind, must not stiffen the carpet and has to withstand water during cleaning. Güçlü® solvent-based adhesives form a water-resistant bond between the backing and the face that keeps its flexibility.
