Headliner bonding fixes a fabric- or foam-backed facing to the pre-moulded roof carrier. The carrier is curved and three-dimensional; the facing has to sit into those curves without gaps and stay there for the life of the vehicle.
The adhesive has to resist the heat that builds up in a closed car under summer sun, must not let the facing pull back off the curves and must not strike through and mark the fabric. Güçlü® solvent-based synthetic rubber adhesives bring the heat resistance of postforming work to the headliner: sprayed, they cover large surfaces quickly, and their high initial tack holds the facing permanently along the curves.
